Management Research in VA
III. Resources to support management research
In preparation for the February 2002 meeting of management researchers, the MDRC invited meeting participants to contribute their projects to a list of current or recent management research conducted by VA researchers. The list below is the result of that informal effort.
We have grouped the projects under four headings:
We would like to expand this list to include more projects. The intent is to provide researchers with a resource of what colleagues are studying to encourage the exchange of information, and potentially collaboration among investigators with similar interests. The inclusion criteria for listing projects are broad: Research about the organization and management of health care organizations, from the highest level of the whole health care system, down to the clinic level. Studies might be examining, for example, the organizational structures of hospitals; the practice of decision-making; the organizational factors that affect clinic operations; processes of organizational change and transformation.
